... for a jungle trekking
  • Camera and/or smartphone 

  • For each trekking day:

    • Light T-shirt, long pants and long socks to cover your legs

  • If staying overnight:

    • longsleeve & long pants, small pillow​

  •  Walking shoes with a good grip

  • Flip flops / Sandals 

  • Swimming clothes and towel

  • Waterproof coat/bag for your valuable items

  • 1 backpack (size depends on trekking duration )

  • Hat or cap, sunglasses

  • Sunscreen &mosquito repellent

  • extra flashlight

  • Personal medical kit

  • Toilet paper (or use the Indonesian way : your left hand!)

  • 1 big bottle of water

    • BRING YOUR OWN REUSABLE ONE AND GET WATER FOR FREE during your stay in Bukit Lawang​

... for traveling indonesia
  • Visa or Mastercard for taking money

  • Power bank for your electronical devices as we have many powercuts

  • Buy a local sim card (e.g. Telkomsel) on your first day in Indonesia (for using mobile services as Grab and Gojek)

  • Check how long you want to stay in Indonesia and choose which VISA you want to use 

    • 30 Day Free Visa​ (not extendable)

    • 30 Day Visa on arrival ( 1 x extendable for 30 more days)

    • 60 Day Tourist Visa (apply at an Indonesian Embassy upfront, 4x extendable)

  • Health Insurance is highly recommended​

  • Vaccination

    • Please consult a doctor to check which vaccinations are recommended for indonesia and which ones you need​

  • Sunscreen from home (expensive here)

  • Buy mosquito repellent (soffel) here - its cheap and works great

  • international drivers license for renting motorbike & car

  • bring enough of your personal medications you need as they might not be available in the pharmacy here

Please inform us upfront about any health issues we might need to know (Pregnancy, blood pressure, diseases, allergies etc) so that we can make sure that you are able to join a trekking.
